Temptation is Impossible to Resist

1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Temptation is a routine part of life. Our desire to sin can sometimes feel so much more powerful than our desire to do what is right before God.God is Faithful

So what if we cannot resist?

What if,????

As some suggest, God puts us in a position where resistance is IMPOSSIBLE a scenario where we have no real choice, other than to sin? Or, at least, no hope of resisting the temptation?

The Bible offers reassurance for overcoming any given temptation is entirely possible. That is true for everyone who believes that our God is Faithful.

Our God is still for us. He loves us. He is not waiting for us to fail. He is ready to help us.

He helps believers are to actively work in their lives to keep us from ever being tempted beyond what we can resist.

We might not believe we can overcome temptation but God promises that we can,

Yes in the power of the Holy Spirit, we can respond to any given temptation by resisting it.

The experience of human temptation is part of what makes Christ’s relationship with us one of trust and hope.

God is actively working to help those who are in Christ, who want to do what is right, to be successful.

There is a promise in this verse “God is Faithful!” He will not allow you to be tempted or tested beyond what you are able. He has already prepared the way of escape. He is going to get you out of it!

Believe it and hold fast to this promise.

Amen……
